Spessu Advent Calendar

for a (Super) Special Someone

Spessu = “special” in Finnish slang

It all started with a real life situation.

I wanted to focus on positive things in my marriage after a very trying season. So last year in December, I made an advent calendar for Hubby with positive things to read every day—things I was thankful for, things I like about him, good memories, etc. I realized it did me a world of good to always be on the lookout for positive things, and it did him good to read them. Win win!

So this year, I am offering you a similar opportunity with the Spessu Advent Calendar for a (Super) Special Someone. Tell a friend, spouse, grandparent, parent what they mean to you. Give them a positive quote for the day, a poem snippet, suggest an activity for the day, anything!

In the Spessu calendar you will find 24 blank mini cards with a holiday-themed drawing on the cover. Feel free to add doodles of your own! There are 24 mini hand-stamped numbered envelopes as well as writing tips to fill in the cards. There are mini clothespins and some cozy red yarn so you can make this calendar a festive holiday decoration in your home. Also, if the person you want to give it to lives far away, you can also mail it to them in the very same box!!

What’s your preference—numbers in order, or mixed up?
